Palgwe forms chil jang is the seventh of 8 forms. The forms build on one another to form the eight chapter palgwe book.

Pal gwe poomse contain the contradictory concepts of um-yang. Everything has an opposite, light--dark, sky--earth, man--woman, good--evil, hot--cold and so on. This precept is the basis of the I Ching and is applied by the pal gwe poomse.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Opposites relate to each other according to the rules of the universe..

Palgwe poomse is taught at the colored belt level.

It serves to introduce students to taekwondo techniques and the philosophy of the supreme ultimate.
